It is a fabulous program that gives students the skills and certifications to seek immediate employment in the Guiding Industry. The River Roots program specifically is run out of Huntsville, ON, with a focus on Whitewater paddling. Beginning its first year in 2026 is River Roots Junior: designed for paddlers 15-17 years of age, it is a 29 Day program on the Missinaibi River designed to expand both paddling and leadership skills, as well as a focus on teamwork and wilderness skills.
